5/6/2003 - Try an Environmental Cycling Safari !
This summer, cyclists with an interest in the environment can enjoy guided tours of the Saint Michel Environmental Complex.
The bicycle tours of the City of Montréal’s environmental centre, which began on May 20, offer a unique environmental experience, and an opportunity to learn about modern approaches to waste management.
Friendly tour guides will take you on an 90-minute environmental safari over the cycle path around the perimeter of one of the largest urban landfill sites in North America, itself currently in the process of being rehabilited into a metropolitan park.
Bring your bicycle, or try one of the 10 eco-velo designed by SOS Vélo. As you take the tour, you can learn more about how the City of Montréal is taking on the challenges of environmental protection and sustainable development.
The guided tours depart from the CEMR offices at 2525 Jarry East (corner Iberville, near the St-Michel Eco Centre), Monday to Sunday, from 9:30 AM to 3 PM, continuing to September 1, 2003.
